Have been in contact whit many guys in Germany.. And it`s possible, but very expencive..

Do not want Recaro seats.. They are not so nice... Do want M3 interior..! ;)


Have found some in the UK, and in Germany, but they stop answering me when I ask for price for shipping to Norway..

For new leather on used M-tech seats in Norway it`ll cost about €2700 / $3500.. Still not 2+2 :(

I understand the looks of seats are subjective, but having sat and driven in both seats you have shown in the pictures and the Recaros are a much better seat.

This is most evident in longer duration or long distance driving, the Recaro seat has better back support and is more comfortable on the body which then equates to less fatigue.

You may already know this or you may not, if you do not then I suggest try sitting in a Reacro LX/LS as you can always have them recovered. You can order premade seat skin kits and do the installation yourself.

My Recaros originally looked like the gray ones in your picture and I am having them recovered to look something like this

I do think I have tried the seat that M-technik posted a link to. They were OK in my eyes..


Have E30 ever been sold new whit the kind of seats you show me?? Thats my little "red tread"... Everything I mount on/in my E30, as near as possible, has to be delivered in E30 from the factory..;)

The Recaro LS seat shown in the pictures above was available as a factory option from BMW.

Hmm.. That was new to me..! And, it opens for opportunities actually.. But, are there just front seats that are different, or are the rear seats different as vell?

Just the front seats are different, the rears are the standard one you have now.

The BMW Recaro do have the correct factory bases attached so you can just bolt them in your e30.

The aftermarket Recaro, like I have from a VW Golf Mk2, need adaptor brackets in order to attach them onto the factory sport seat slider bases as shown.

Funny thing is as mentioned they were an upgrade. Here is a set of mine back when I resided in Germany.





They are more comfortable in my opinion.
